The Rotary Club of Orange Park Sunrise is proud to present a tribute to all of the men and women World War II Veterans of the First Coast.
First Coast HonorAir will once again orchestrate a third flight. This is a one-day trip to Washington, DC on May 31, 2008, that will provide many First Coast veterans the opportunity to view their World War II Memorial for the first time. The first trip on June 2, 2007 was so successful that trips were completed on October 6, 2007 and May 31, 2008
The World War II Memorial was dedicated in 2004 for a generation who's youngest member is an octogenarian. So many of the men and women who fought and sacrificed for our country have not had an opportunity, or ability, to visit. HonorAir will provide an opportunity for so many veterans who, because of physical or financial limitations, may otherwise never see the memorial.
